Six billion, eight ninety-one million approx,
The last time I checked, 'bout two days ago,
I say, its good we're well past the rigid shocks,
For you won't even flinch when I've finished telling you so!


Figures, figures, flashing, flying, fleeting...
Piercing bullets through my soft liquid crystal screen,
Tumbling,leaping,ascending.... while each moment forgets
The fact of fortitude its predecessor has just seen.


Six billion counting, plus a near 900 million!
May I ask, how does our garden grow?
Why, do look up, from your bare blasted oblivion,
Next second from this, you'll have more family than you know!

A pot-bellied population mounts, swells heedless
"J-curve", stats predict in grim tones,
Records rendered puny..... to shame,dear Guiness,
Billions pave way for quadrillions alone!

You must learn to sit tight, close,no gaps.
6*10^23 per mole, you see.
Pause for applause, hear, amid cheers and claps,
Outstanding achievement!We're more than can possibly be!

"So we grew more and more, beyond common number,
Beyond planet and sky, then burst at the seams!
We fell through it all, and fell, in deep slumber...
Then woke" ---"in planet X10, granny?"---"Shh, we woke, to an impossible dream!"

"The third time I opened my eyes, ma chere,
'Twas one with three moons, my memory yields,
Three tiny space flights, and we came to land there.
Three thundering million made it ! the hollering reports revealed."



When the social network held a party,subtraction stayed away.
Division lurked underneath in gloom.
"Go addition! Add! Add!" we screamed,"Make way!"
So multiplication, the bit-y byte-y hero, made more room.

Dear Lord of the trains, we've been known to expand.
How indeed shall we accomodate?
Nevertheless for derailments; hackers, attackers, withstand
The end of each journey , left to fate!

A bonny baby, this very second has claimed.
Dark curled hair, blue eyes, what does it boast?
God's little mercy! Vanquisher of Disdain!
When you've vanquished all earth, what will you miss the most?

What shall the Geek inherit?? If one is stumped by that one, I declare, one hasn't really been keeping awake. Look around, inhabitant of the Blue planet,---- look to see the prodigious third of the wondrous solar family sinking helplessly into the hands of the Geek. Not that this god-like status of His is a modern development.
